Course description:

The MSc Climate Change and Development course at the University of Reading is a 12 months full time or 24 months part time taught Masters degree programme that addresses the challenges of global environmental change and economic development. The course integrates natural and social science of climate change and applies cutting-edge, transdisciplinary “ecological economics” tools to the subject. As a result, you will undergo excellent preparation for work in aid and development agencies, NGOs and government departments. Sample modules taken in the MSc programme are:

• Energy, Climate Change and Development
• Global Environmental Change and Development
• Theories and Practices of Development
• Research and Study Skills for Independent Learning.

The programme prepares students for careers in practice, research and policy in the areas of international and rural development, agricultural economics, and marketing within the food chain. In addition to the MSc Climate Change and Development course, the University of Reading also offers the subject as a PG Diploma or PG Certificate, with the full-time option delivered over 6 months and the part-time option over 2 periods of 6 months.

Entry Requirements:
