Course description:

Building on the basic knowledge acquired in the Bachelor’s degree programme, the Master’s degree programme expands students’ subject-specific knowledge in one of five areas from the fields of: Urban Water Management, Environmental Technologies, Resource Management, Water Resources Management, River and Hydraulic Engineering.

These specialisations are supplemented by a broad range of electives. A project, together with the 6-month Masters thesis, offers the opportunity to approach a subject-specific topic in an applied or research-oriented manner.

Entry Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent first degree from an internationally recognised university:

  • – Recognised universities are recognised or accredited as a university in their own country by the responsible national authority.
  • – The Bachelor’s degree is based on at least three years of study (full-time equivalent) or 180 credits ECTS (European credit transfer system), respectively. 1 credit ECTS corresponds to a workload of 25-30 hours.
  • – The Bachelor’s degree qualifies the holder to enter, without additional requirements, Master’s degree programmes at a university within the education system where the the Bachelor’s degree was acquired.
  • – The Bachelor’s degree must have been awarded before lectures commence at ETH Zurich, but not necessarily at the time of application.
