Course description:

The Bachelor’s programme (BSc) in International Land and Water Management at Wageningen University and Research is a 3-year full-time programme taught in English. A variety of teaching methods is used, ranging from lectures, tutorials and computerbased learning, to practical field work and excursions both in the Netherlands and abroad. The programme is meant for those eager to work on solutions for a more sustainable use and management of land and water, as it addresses problems of drought, erosion and floods, which put food production at risk in large parts of the world. You will combine knowledge of engineering, social and natural sciences, study the roles of various stakeholders and design land and water management improvement plans.

Students learn about the engineering, socio-economic, physical and policy aspects of land and water management. The course will examine regions all over the world that struggle with land and water management problems, such as floods, water shortage, erosion or land degradation. Third year bachelor’s students do an international internship and research project of their choice.
