Brief description:
The UAL/ISH International Postgraduate Scholarship provides £10,000 tuition waiver scholarships to students from developing countries who are pursuing a full-time or part-time taught Masters course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2026.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
This scholarship provides a £10,000 tuition fee waiver for a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at 1 of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes.
Eligibility:
Criteria 1: You must hold an offer to study a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s 6 Colleges and Institutes starting in 2026/27.
- • Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification.
- • You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad.
Criteria 2: You need to qualify for the Overseas category of tuition fee status. Read more about Postgraduate Tuition Fees.
Criteria 3: You have achieved, or are predicted to achieve, an upper second-class honours degree or above at undergraduate level. Recognised equivalent qualifications are also accepted. To check your eligibility, read the International Academic Qualifications Equivalency (PDF 1,015 KB).
Criteria 4: You must provide a personal statement as part of your scholarship application which responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):
- • Please tell us about how your achievements and experience gained both within and outside of school/university demonstrate your suitability for this award.
- • Please tell us how you intend to use the qualification you will be gaining to support your future plans
- • What contribution do you intend to make to university life whilst studying? How do you feel being part of the UAL community will help you in achieving your career aspirations?
Application instructions:
You will need to hold an offer for your postgraduate course before applying for this scholarship. Once you’ve received an offer on a qualifying course, the ‘my funding’ page on your UAL Applicant portal will be updated to display application forms for scholarships you may be eligible for. For autumn 2026, there are two deadlines – 27 March 2026 (Round 1) and 26 June 2026 (Round 2) for Autumn 2026 entry.
In order to apply for the scholarship, you will need to be holding an offer on an eligible course. It is recommended that you make a course application as soon as possible in order to receive an offer with enough time to apply for the scholarship.
