Brief description:

StratLeade is offering StratLeade Scholarships to nationals of low, medium and high countries listed on the United Nations Human Development Index, who wish to undertake studies in the Master’s in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (MSLS) programme at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH).

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Each award is US$5000, which is to be used to augment living, travel, and academic supplies associated with participation in the MSLS programme.

Eligibility:

Applicants will be considered if they are accepted to the autumn intake for the upcoming academic year at MSLS. StratLeade grants are directed toward scholars from countries listed as “Low”, “Medium” or “High” on the United Nations Human Development Index. Applicants should have a unique story and who are able to express their position in an exceptional manner. StratLeade looks for cohorts with a rich mix of backgrounds and nationalities and welcomes those scholars that see this benefiting their work towards sustainability.

Applicants are required to forfeit their StratLeade grant should they be granted a scholarship through the Swedish Institute (SI) or other scholarships that cover full cost of studying in Sweden.

The application period is open from 15 April to 15 May each year. Applicants are required to compose an essay of 1,000 words or less detailing why they should be considered an exceptional candidate, and in that essay, they should answer the following 5 questions:

• What attributes/goals/skills/attitudes/etc. make you the ideal recipient of a grant?
• Describe your financial need for this scholarship, especially if your participation in the MSLS programme is dependent on receiving the grant. If you have overcome financial need to achieve a goal in the past, please describe your experience.
• How would you go about helping to raise money for this grant programme in the future?
• How would you support the Master’s programme and promote strategic sustainable development in the future?
• What is the one thing you would want us to remember about you?
