This scholarship is awarded for student who is accepted to International Graduate Program (Master’s or Doctoral Program) after entrance examination (AO method).

Target group:

Applicants must have nationality of the countries (including Mongolia) in the following area: South East Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, Africa. AND applicants must have bachelor degree or further degree from the universities in above countries and areas.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

-Tuition and Fees are provided.
-200,000JPY/month is provided as daily expenses.
-Round-trip air ticket to and from Japan is provided
-2 years at maximum for a Master’s candidate
– 3years at maximum for a Doctoral candidate

Eligibility:

Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for consideration for the scholarship:

(1) Desire to Enter Graduate School
Applicants are required to be strongly committed to study at Waseda’s particular graduate school of his/her primary choice.

(2) Nationality / Region
Applicants must be citizens of South East Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Central Asia ,Africa or Mongolia.

(3) Location of Residence
Applicants must apply for this program from overseas.

(4) Academic Background
Applicants must have bachelor degree or further degree from the universities in countries and areas of South East Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, Africa or Mongolia.

(5) Age

Applicants must be under the age of 30 for Master’s Program or under the age of 35 for Doctoral Program at the time of enrollment into the Graduate School of Waseda University.

Applicants must first register online and then submit application documents by post.  The deadline for applications for entry in April 2015 is 10 October 2014.
