wow I liked this site. I checked the websites of many universities listed on this site and couldn’t find any that fits to my needs. I haven’t taken the TOEFL test and any scholastic aptitude test and i don’t think i can afford the money to take. Is there any way of finding a scholarship that evaluates your highschool or preparatory results and the essay you write on applying. Looking forward to see bright answers. Thank you all!
Hi Merhawi, I’m afraid almost all scholarships set high standards and criteria for admission. You can find scholarships that are based on financial need although I would think they would still require you to reach a certain level of qualification in order to be considered. But applying to a scholarship to which you are highly eligible for increases your chances. For example, if you are a South African, find a scholarship that is only eligible for South Africans.

I am a Nigerian who has desired for long to have an opportunity to study abroad ( in the UK) with a scholarship for a first degree in Engineering preferably mechanical or gas engineering, how can I have the admission and the scholarship that I need.

Hi Patrick, most scholarship providers require you to apply to the programme/school before you can apply for the scholarship but some scholarship providers allow you to apply for the scholarship even without admissions to a programme/school or while you are still processing your application to the programme.
Most scholarships are for first year students but you can also find scholarships for finishing students.

Actually, I am about to graduate in in high school. Actually I’m planning to take Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics (AEM). I’m not that fond of math, but I love aeronautics. Its just its kind of weird for a woman but I love physics that much. Actually, I qualified in Industrial Engineering on a national university. The tuition is not that expensive but my mom is considering to get me enrolled in the local college since its cheaper.
But who says i’m gonna give up. SO here i am checking on every available scholarship in the web. AEM is not available in the country that’s why im looking for international scholarships.
Actually it’s just that sad how developing countries like mine need to cope up in order for its students to have a good future. Sometimes its hard for me to accept this situation but yeah, we don’t have any choices. That is why people like us need to double their efforts and be open to possibilities.

Jacob, I would think your acceptance to Maserno University has expired already. Age limit is a criteria to some scholarship providers but not all.

When I come to my personal background, my name is Degusew Tesema. I was born in Ethiopia, particularly in Bahir Dar city in 1972. I graduated my first degree from Bahir Dar University in mathematics. After I had taught for over eight years, I got My M.A in Curriculum and Instruction from Addis Ababa University and employed in the Ethiopian Civil Service College (ECSC) as a consultant since October 2007.
It is known that Ethiopia is a developing country where its people are striving to come out of poverty. In doing so, the government is working towards a vision of reaching a middle level income country. Educating the citizens is an indispensable task to bring about a sustainable development and the establishment of democratic culture.
By now, I am an employee of ECSC as a consultant and consulting three public organizations namely, Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), National Meteorological Agency (NMA) and Ministry of Women’s Affairs on national reform programs. The main objective of this program is to bring about organizational transformation and this leads to good governance so as to realize the national vision of the country.
In my experience as a reform agent I have come across to observe that there is a shortage of highly qualified professionals in this area. For this reason, I have decided to look for further education to build my capacity. This helps me to play a great role in the process of achieving the country’s national vision. In this respect, I have found that your higher institution is preferable.
If I get this chance, the program that you give will help me to solve the different problems associated with the reform programs by conducting researches. My research interest is, therefore, to study on the area of States, Societies and world development. In doing so, I would like to see poverty to be history in Ethiopia in about twenty to thirty years time.

I would like to thank you for this wonderful resource. I started pursuing a part time MBA program in Austria.I got a partial scholarship and was also given the option of paying the tuition in three installments.
