Hubert Humphrey Fellowships in USA
The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program provides a year of professional enrichment in the United States for experienced professionals from designated countries throughout the world. Fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and their commitment to public service in either the public or private sector.  The fellowships are full grants covering all related expenses.

Australia Awards Fellowships
The Australian Awards Fellowships are intended for those who are already leaders or have the potential to assume leadership roles that can influence social and economic policy reform and development outcomes.  The Fellowships are for short-term study, research, and professional attachment programs in Australia delivered by Australian organizations.  Applications are accepted from citizens of developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Latin America, Caribbean, and Palestinian territories.  A maximum of $35,000 per Fellow is available which can include: Return economy airfare from/to home country’s international hub,  In-Australia transport in respect of approved activities,  short course/tuition/training course costs, accommodation and living expenses, medical insurance costs when in Australia, etc.

Nuffic, through the Netherlands Fellowship Programme, provide scholarships for short courses in Netherlands for international students from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.  NFP fellowships can be used for a number of selected courses and are offered by education institutions in the Netherlands. The institutions provide professional training at post- secondary level in several fields of study. The courses lead to a Dutch certificate or a diploma and their duration varies from two weeks to twelve months.  The NFP allowance is considered to be a contribution towards the cost of living for the fellowship holder.

VLIR-UOS Training Scholarships
VLIR-UOS awards training scholarships in Belgium to students from developing countries . In short training programmes, lasting one to four months, the focus is on transferring skills rather than knowledge, thus creating opportunities for cooperation and networking.  Residents and nationals of selected countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America are eligible for a VLIR-UOS scholarship.  The scholarships cover training related expenses.

The Global Campus 21 E-Academy enables professional expertise, managerial skills and leadership experience to be gained, extended and passed on in developing countries through online training courses at the Global Campus 21 E-Academy.  A number of full tuition scholarships are available for selected courses to qualified specialists and managers from developing countries and countries in transition who work in positions relevant to development in the private and public sectors.

edX Free Online Courses at Premier Universities
edX is a learning platform that gives students from any country the opportunity to take free online courses offered by three premier Universities in the US – Harvard, MIT, and UC Berkeley plus 8 other premier universities. Online learners can earn a certificate of completion after completing the course.  There are currently 32 courses offered but their goal is to offer a wide variety of courses across disciplines.  The course are available to anyone in the world – from any demographic – who has access to a computer with internet access. For the courses in Fall 2012, those certificates will be free. There is a plan to charge a modest fee for certificates in the future.

Coursera
Coursera is an education company that partners with the top universities and organizations in the world to offer courses online for anyone to take, for free. Currently, they offer courses in a wide range of topics, spanning the Humanities, Medicine, Biology, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, and many others.
