VET provides occupational or work-related knowledge and skills. The courses are directly related to a trade, occupation or ‘vocation’ in which the applicant participates. The scholarship includes tuition fees, travel allowance, establishment allowance, monthly stipend, health and travel insurance.

Netherlands Fellowship Program for Short Courses (Netherlands)
Nuffic, through the Netherlands Fellowship Programme, provide scholarships for short courses in Netherlands for international students from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. NFP fellowships can be used for a number of selected courses and are offered by education institutions in the Netherlands. The institutions provide professional training at post- secondary level in several fields of study. The courses lead to a Dutch certificate or a diploma and their duration varies from two weeks to twelve months. The NFP allowance is considered to be a contribution towards the cost of living for the fellowship holder.

VLIR-UOS Training Scholarships (Belgium)
With the International Training Programme, VLIR-UOS funds practical trainings of 1 to 4 months on a development oriented subject taught in English at Flemish universities and university colleges.
